The forces working to divide, distract, and destroy are more insidious than ever, sneaking in through philosophies, false teachings, and unchecked spiritual passivity. If we are not equipped to fight for truth, the enemy will infiltrate our homes, marriages, and children’s hearts.
God has called you to be a warrior, to rise up with dunamis power—the miraculous, explosive power of God—and lead your family in victory over the darkness. But to do this, we must first understand the enemy’s tactics, reclaim the authority given to us by Jesus, and reignite the bold, unstoppable faith that the early disciples walked in.
"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves." —Jesus
The enemy’s strategy has always been deception. From the Garden of Eden to today’s self-help gurus, Satan uses half-truths and counterfeit spirituality to lead people away from God’s Word. One of the most concerning examples of this today is the teachings of Esther Hicks and similar New Age philosophies.
Esther Hicks is a prominent figure in the New Age movement, known for channeling a group of entities she calls "Abraham," which she describes as a collective of 100 non-physical spirits. During her sessions, Esther adopts the persona of Abraham, claiming to speak on their behalf to deliver messages focused on the "Law of Attraction," manifestation, and spiritual alignment.
Her method involves entering a trance-like state, during which she asserts that Abraham communicates directly through her to audiences. While these teachings have garnered a large following, they promote a self-centered spirituality that denies the need for a Savior and rejects alignment with biblical truth, ultimately opening the door to spiritual deception.
The danger isn’t that everything she teaches is blatantly false—most of it contains truth, just slightly twisted. This is what makes it even more deceptive, as partial truths are woven into a framework designed to lead people away from God’s Word. This is how deception operates: 90% truth with 10% poison. The enemy counterfeits our God-given dominion and the power of the Holy Spirit with teachings that appear empowering but ultimately divert from God’s truth.
These teachings promise “manifestation,” “alignment,” and “universal energy,” but they are a counterfeit of God’s truth. They open doors to spirits such as Kundalini, Leviathan, Jezebel, Python, Fear, and Antichrist, which work to deceive, paralyze, and destroy families.
The Kingdom of God is not a religion. It is a mystical, supernatural reality that operates in power, truth, and the presence of the living God. Jesus described the Kingdom as being “at hand” , meaning it surrounds us and is accessible to those who align themselves with God through faith and submission to the Holy Spirit.
Living in the Kingdom of God means embracing its mystical nature—living in communion with the unseen realm, discerning spiritual truths, and walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. But here’s the key: which spirits we choose to align ourselves with will determine our fate.
Will you align yourself with the Holy Spirit and the spirits who glorify Jesus, or will you allow demonic counterfeits—spirits like Jezebel, Python, Leviathan, Kundalini, Fear, and Antichrist—to infiltrate and pervert your life and your family’s future?
The decision is critical because these spirits work against the Kingdom of God to distort its truth and keep you from living in the fullness of your authority and purpose.
The spirit of fear paralyzes believers and prevents them from stepping into their God-given authority. It sows doubt, insecurity, and hesitation, keeping men passive and their families spiritually vulnerable.
The spirit of Antichrist, as described in 1 John 4:3, works to deny the lordship and authority of Jesus Christ. It encourages rebellion against God’s order, self-reliance, and rejection of prayer and Scripture. This spirit subtly infiltrates philosophies and ideologies, creating spiritual stagnation and disunity in families.
Jesus warned that allegiance to Him and His truth would bring division, even within families:
"For I have come to turn ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household’" (Matthew 10:35-36).
This prophecy highlights the tension between those who align with Christ and those who reject Him, often influenced by spirits like Fear and Antichrist. These spirits work to amplify division, creating discord where unity in the Holy Spirit should prevail. Recognizing and confronting their influence is critical for protecting families and leading them in the truth of God’s Word.
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world." —Apostle John
The spirits working to divide families—Python, Leviathan, Jezebel, Kundalini, Antichrist, and Fear—thrive where there is no spiritual leadership. These spirits exploit gaps in spiritual authority, sowing division, confusion, and rebellion in the home. Here’s how they operate and destroy families:
The Kundalini spirit replicates the work of the Holy Spirit, creating counterfeit manifestations such as laughter, shaking, euphoria, or a weighty presence. While these experiences are genuine, they are produced by demonic alignment rather than the Spirit of God. It mimics the authentic work of the Holy Spirit to lead people astray.
How It Destroys Families:
It creates division by leading some family members into spiritual deception while others discern the counterfeit. For instance, a wife or child captivated by false teachings misaligned with Jesus or mystical “spiritual awakenings” might clash with the spiritual leader of the home aligned with the Holy Spirit, accusing him of being judgmental or intolerant. Gaslighting often accompanies this deception, as the spiritually deceived person manipulates or dismisses concerns, further driving division and confusion.
The Python spirit, referenced in Acts 16:16, works like a serpent, wrapping itself around its victim to suffocate prayer, communication, and spiritual growth. It creates heaviness, discouragement, and weariness, making spiritual disciplines feel burdensome.
How It Destroys Families:
The Python spirit thrives in homes where prayer is neglected, bringing apathy that causes family members to drift away from spiritual practices. For example, a husband may feel spiritually drained and disengage from leading his family in prayer, leaving the door open for further attack. Gaslighting can occur when this spirit causes family members to dismiss or invalidate feelings of spiritual heaviness, making others question their discernment or faith.
The Leviathan spirit, described in Job 41, is a serpent-like spirit that twists truth and communication, sowing pride, confusion, and misunderstandings. It thrives on miscommunication, creating unnecessary arguments and eroding trust.
How It Destroys Families:
Leviathan twists intentions and words to escalate conflict. For instance, a husband and wife might argue over something trivial, but neither will humble themselves to reconcile because pride has taken root. Its twisting nature also incites fear and insecurity, creating uncertainty and doubt. Pride then acts as a defense mechanism, hardening hearts and preventing humility, further entrenching division. Over time, this erodes trust and intimacy, leaving relationships fractured.
The Jezebel spirit works through manipulation, control, and rebellion against godly authority. It promotes idolatry, seduction, and chaos, undermining the order God established for families.
How It Destroys Families:
This spirit often targets men, weakening their spiritual leadership and creating strife in marriages. For example, a wife or child influenced by the Jezebel spirit might undermine the father’s authority through manipulation or rebellion, creating division and distrust. Gaslighting amplifies the damage, as the Jezebel spirit uses emotional manipulation to twist situations, deny accountability, or make others feel like they’re at fault, deepening emotional and spiritual instability in the family.
"But I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching, she misleads my servants." —Jesus
The spirit of Antichrist, as described in 1 John 4:3, works to oppose the lordship of Jesus and deny His authority. It subtly infiltrates through philosophies, ideologies, and systems that encourage rebellion against God’s order, promoting self-reliance and rejection of the need for a Savior.
How It Destroys Families:
In families, the spirit of Antichrist manifests as resistance to prayer, Scripture, and spiritual discussions. It promotes rejection of Jesus as the center of life and family, often encouraging philosophies that exalt self over submission to Christ. This spirit creates spiritual stagnation and disunity, weakening the family’s foundation in faith.
The spirit of fear is one of the most pervasive tactics of the enemy, designed to paralyze men from stepping into their God-given authority. Fear is tied to doubt, insecurity, and hesitation, which prevent bold leadership in the home.
How It Destroys Families:
Fear keeps men from initiating prayer or taking spiritual authority over situations, leading to passivity and unchecked spiritual attacks. For example, a father might hesitate to confront spiritual issues in his home out of fear of failure or rejection, leaving his family vulnerable to other spirits like Python or Leviathan.
Confronting fear with faith and reliance on the Holy Spirit is essential to overcoming this spirit’s influence. God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
These spirits—Python, Leviathan, Jezebel, Kundalini, Antichrist, and Fear—exploit gaps in spiritual leadership and thrive where families are not united under God’s truth. Recognizing their tactics and stepping into God-given authority is essential to closing the door to their influence.
By embracing bold faith, relying on the Holy Spirit, and taking spiritual leadership, you can protect your family and create an atmosphere of spiritual strength and unity.
The battle for your family is real, but so is the power of God within you. Jesus gave us the blueprint to live victoriously over the enemy:
Cast out demons.
Heal the sick.
Raise the dead.
Walk in authority.
"For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power." —Apostle Paul
